The Jones Family Farm, called “Quiet Earth,” is a 115 acre farm and Carolinian ecosystem with a few horses, a fully restored 19th century barn in which music concerts are hosted. Music videos and albums are also shot and recorded at Quiet Earth, which is also the site of many music festivals. The Jones are committed to protecting and restoring natural habitats, promoting independent homesteading and supporting the arts and culture of the region. Habitats included at this site include Hemlock and White Cedar Forest, Oak Savanna, wet meadow, old field and mixed Carolinian Forest including species uncommonly found in Canada such as Paw Paw, Tulip Tree, and Cucumber Magnolia.
